Fusing (the sintering of glass in a kiln) is an innovation in the modern interior design. It is no secret that glass is a diverse and unique material regarding its properties. It is an amorphous substance getting very flexible when warmed-up in a certain way, and turning into liquid when subjected to comparatively higher temperatures. It is exactly this property of the glass that is successfully used in the fusing technique. The difficulty of the technology is the subtlety of each and every completed piece of work, the skills for which the artist perfects within years. This technology, combined with the designer’s imagination, can give almost unlimited and undreamed variations. The feedstock of fusing is expensive thus turning the process of creating the picture from the sintered glass into a complicated and laborious task. Quite often it is really difficult to reach the desired result from the first bash. At the same time the beauty of the bright iridescent element in the fusing technique is able to turn a usual glass door into a unique item of the interior, an item one cannot but adore. Fusing is also very impressive and admirable on mirrors. Golden fish in the bathroom and night moths in the bedroom will float and flit bringing you elated mood every single day. In addition, it is also very easy to take care of fusing, the same as with usual glass.
